Terms of Service
This is not legal advice. These terms are a short agreement for a hobby project in open beta. If you need legal advice, talk to a lawyer.
These terms apply to the game NETWAR at https://www.play-netwar.com and https://play-netwar.com (the “Game”, the “Site”).
NETWAR is a browser game in open beta: a cyberpunk MMO GIS strategy on a real-Earth map, with hex sectors and card-duel combat.
1. Who runs this
The operator of NETWAR is a private individual in Bulgaria, not a registered company. No personal legal name is published on this site.

2. Beta status — read this
NETWAR is an open beta: playable, free, and still changing.
- Features will change.
- Balance will change, and bugs and downtime can happen.
- We do not plan to wipe the world. If a reset ever becomes unavoidable (for example after a serious bug or data loss), we will announce it in the game first whenever we can.
- Still, there is no guarantee that your save, rank, or account will survive a crash, a reset, or the project shutting down.
Play only if you accept that.
3. Not a financial product
NETWAR is a game.
- There are no in-game purchases at this time.
- Nothing in the Game is money, a security, a deposit, an investment, or a claim on future value.
- External support (for example a Ko-fi or similar “SUPPORT” link) is a voluntary tip to the operator. It buys no in-game power, items, rank, immunity, or special treatment.
4. Accounts
You may register with a display name and an email address; you must be at least 14 (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher). You sign in with a code sent to your email, or with Discord; a sign-in cookie keeps you signed in on that browser. The server also issues an access key, a spare way in.
If you sign in with Discord, Discord’s own terms also apply to that login.
You are responsible for:
- keeping your key private;
- what is done with your account;
- using a real email you control if you want recovery to work.
We may refuse, lock, or delete an account.
5. Conduct, cheating, bans
Do not:
- cheat, exploit, automate the Game in a way we consider abusive, or attack the server;
- impersonate the operator or other players in a deceptive way;
- upload or send illegal content, malware, or harassment through whatever inbox or chat exists;
- scrape, overload, or probe the service beyond ordinary play.
The operator may warn, restrict, ban, or delete an account at discretion. There is no formal appeals process. If you think a ban is a mistake, email the contact address. There is no promise of a reply or a reversal.
6. Availability and data
The Game runs on a Hetzner VPS. The domain sits behind Cloudflare. Either can fail.
We may take the Site down for maintenance, cost, legal reasons, or because the project ends. We do not owe you uptime, backups you can download, or a migration path.
Game state lives in a server-side SQLite database. Treat it as temporary.
7. Your licence to us / our licence to you
We grant you a personal, revocable, non-transferable permission to play the Game through the Site for as long as we operate it and your account is allowed.
You do not own the servers, the map, the rules, the code, or the world state.
If you send us feedback, bug reports, or suggestions, we may use them without paying you.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows:
- the Game is provided “as is” and “as available”;
- the operator is not liable for lost progress, lost time, lost tokens, server outages, or unofficial third-party tools;
- if a court nevertheless finds liability, it is limited to zero paid fees (you have not paid us for the Game).
Nothing here tries to exclude liability that Bulgarian or EU law says cannot be excluded (for example, liability for intent or certain mandatory consumer rights, if they apply).
9. Changes
We may change these terms. The new text will be posted on the Site with an updated date. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Game and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).
